SYDNEY's BENDI DAY

Yesterday a group of knitters, spinners and ravelry members who need no encouragement to gather, met up at Cafe Birkenhead located on the Drummoyne waterfront. This event has been in the making for the last few months, for those of us who couldn't make the Australian Sheep & Wool Show held in Bendigo Victoria every year over this weekend.

The brains behind this cool gathering and great idea was Tia - Vintage Grrl who originally had her own house up for ransom for this event - one brave grrl ! Although, as time went on the numbers grew and another venue had to be found to cater for this minor issue, so Tia the great organizer came up with the perfect spot for all of us to gather in. The restaurant staff did a magnificent job in catering for all of our culinary needs, the food was yummy and the staff pleasant and friendly.

We also need to talk about the weather and that view - Sydney put on a glorious smile for us, and gave us a perfect winter's day with fabulous views ! You really can't top that, except maybe to say that the day went without a hitch, and I for one had the best day sharing something I love to do with fellow funky knitters.
